Olympic Weightlifting 8 week goals

CFOKC Competition Team Oly Cycle starts Tuesday 6/9/14.
Please post your current maxes and your 8 week goals for the following:

1. Snatch
2. Clean
3. Jerk
4. Clean & Jerk

     Also, please post your perception of your weakness (goat). If you have followed BHT in the past or have competed at the Regional Level you should have a good idea of what that is. For those of you who are new to this, you will be starting on a Basic Gymnastic Cycle.

     Please get with Drew, Ginny, or Taylor to receive this programming and to be assigned your Weakness Coach.

     The weakness programming will start Wednesday and will be 4 weeks of work. At the end if that four weeks you and the coaches will assess your progress and decide on your next weakness cycle.

    Greatest weakness: Lack of strength and the inability to successfully keep moving in weighted (barbell, dumbbell, heavy, light) workouts.

    Gymnastic Weaknesses: MUs, Butterfly Pull-ups, handstand holds and walks. BUT, I CAN do cartwheels! Just in case...

    Over all, I need to be stronger. My overall weakness is weakness. I can only go up! :)

    Gymnastic Weaknesses: Butterfly pull-ups, handstand holds/walks, linking bar muscle-ups.

    Weightlifting-wise my weakness involves anything with movements overhead, both in absolute strength and dropping the bar too often! High-rep thrusters are obviously my least favorite movement.

    Weaknesses include overhead position in snatch and ohs. Stringing together multiple reps of moderate to heavy snatch (ie 135-165) also being able to continue to strong together mus when tired.

    Let me go ahead and tell you a little bit more about myself. I work at a college as a janitor even though I feel like I'm smarter than most of the people who go there. Sometimes I see an equation written on a blackboard, like half an equation, and I'll just figure it out. Anyways, my best friend is Ben Affleck....

      Gymnastic Weaknesses: bar MUs, Kipping MUs, handstand holds and walks... I can't do butterfly pull-ups, but not sure if I want to, it looks painful on the shoulder joints and I feel like I have bad shoulders...

      Weakness: Snatch form and technique. Shoulder mobility. Engine, I run out of steam fast.

    Weaknesses: Getting under the bar, confidence with lifts (especially anything overhead), endurance (although I have accepted my coping mechanism of crying and will just embrace it and push through!)

    Gymnastics Weaknesses: stringing together kipping pullups, HSPU, bar muscle ups... let's just start with those!

    Goals - to add at least 10# to each movement and improve my execution of the movement with proper form/technique.

    Weakness - overall flexibility (tight heal cords), gymnastic moments, over head strengthen, and poor endurance I.e. burn out to quickly.
